David Sturt has been an innovative and respected business executive for 30 years.

He retired as an Executive Vice President of the O.C. Tanner Company, an $800+ million global workplace recognition and culture company, where he led product development, marketing, and founded a global research institute. He was an active participant in quarterly board and shareholder meetings for over 20 years. 

He is a New York Times bestselling author of Great Work, and a second book—Appreciate. His work and interviews have been published in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and NPR, and co-authored a leadership column on Forbes.com. He has spoken at TEDx, and to over 40,000 business leaders at conferences and companies all over the world.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Training and Development and an MBA from BYU. He was born in England, raised in South Africa, and educated in the US and Asia.

He recently returned from living in Kenya for 3 years as a mission president, where he led hundreds of missionaries and oversaw thousands of Kenyan church members in dozens of congregations including one in a refugee camp. 

He is driven by making a difference in the world.
